The race will start and end at the Harbor Bay Fitness Club on Bay Farm Island. You can view club information here: http://harborbayclub.com/. The course is a mostly flat dirt and paved trail that features a beautiful view of the San Francisco skyline and bay bridge. It is a perfect course for the seasoned runner or if this is your first run/walk event.

The kids run will start at 10:00am and be a short out and back along the same trail. Parents, feel free to run with your young runners if you like. Each child will receive a finishers medal.

After the run there will be music, food and various vendors located within the recreation area of the Harbor Bay Club. this race is sure to be a great fitness event followed by a fun celebration for both participants and spectators.

Event details and schedule

The 5k run will starts at 9am on the east side of the Harbor Bay Club along the water, and the kids 12 and under 1 mile run will start at 10:00am. The event venue is a private club, so there is no parking located on site. there is street parking all around the club on Packet Landing Road, Veterans Court or at the grandview Pavilion located on Island drive, and just a short walk to the race start. The address for Harbor Bay Club is 200 Pocket Landing Road, Alameda, ca 94501. We recommend you carpool if possible.

Please allow yourself adequate time to park, pick up your race number, chip, and T-shirt before the 9am start.

We will be donating a portion of the registration to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation, in honor of Robert Ashbaker, a long time Alameda resident who passed last year. You can read about MM at http://www.themmrf.org/

There will be awards 3 deep based on 10 year age group catagories and every participant will receive a race t-shirt IF YOU REGISTER BEFORE NOV 10th, 2016.
