Florida SouthWestern State College and Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity present the "18th Annual Turkey Trot". Come chase the bicycle riding turkey, Thanksgiving morning, around the scenic campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Punta Gorda, FL. This family friendly event has become a Thanksgiving tradition for many. Compete for medals in the "5K Run" or partake in the "5K Fun Walk" before feasting on the big meal! Register by November 11th and receive a free event t-shirt. $30 adult registration fee & $25 youth 14 and under fee until November 21st....$35 thereafter for everyone. All proceeds benefit families in need of safe, decent, affordable homes through Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity. Day of Registration from 6:15 a.m. - 7:15 a.m. $35 per person including children. Race starts promptly at 7:30 a.m. Runners will recive bibs with "chip" technology built in for timing purposes.
Free shirts only apply to participants that register by November 11th. A limited supply of shirts will be available for sale for $15. Awards ceremony to follow.
Bib/T-Shirt pick-up available on Wednesday, November 23rd, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity Office, 1750 Manzana Ave. Punta Gorda, FL 33950 or on day of race in the FSW Cafeteria from 6:15 - 7:15 am.
