 _ 2016 Swine Time 5K:

The Swine Time 5K is an annual event which is part of The Swine Time Festival.  The Swine Time Festival is the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. Please come join the thousands who attend this event, yearly. All activities are geared to family entertainment. Three stage locations with entertainment throughout the day.Sponsored by the Climax Community Club

Contests & Events include best dressed pig, corn shucking, hog calling, eating chitterlings, pig racing, syrup making, baby crawling and the greased pig chase.

Walk through our historic Log Cabin, depot, old courthouse, school and original voting precincts. Explore the hundreds of booths featuring arts, exhibits & crafts and food.

Event details and schedule

The course is mostly flat on black top and dirt road with one hill on the return trip.  Event will begin and end at the Swine Time Fairgrounds, New Street, ClimaxGA.  Race begins promptly at 8:30 AM (Race day registration begins at 7:30 AM)

Medals will be awarded to the top overall male and overall female; Awards will also be given to the top 3 in each age group. Age groups in male & female: Under 13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.   Each entrant who is pre-registered in the 5k by November 14, 2016 is guaranteed a distinctive t-shirt. No additional t-shirts will be ordered after this pre-registration deadline.  Official time and finishing order as determined by race officials controls.
