• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

What better way to start the Thanksgiving Day festivities than with an run/walk that the whole family can participate in! You have two distances to chose from: a 5K or 1 mile distance!! Intermediate and advanced runners will not have any problems with the route. Beginners may find the short steep hill challenging but after you get over it it's downhill with gentle rolling grades to the finish line. You'll find the 1 mile route is ideal for kids, non-runners, or someone short on time due to the holiday.

The 5K route will take you along the Ohio River before challenging you on a moderate hill and then a steep short hill. It then has a long gradual downhill grade before rolling along the residential streets of Tell City.

The one mile distance stays on the flat streets around the historic downtown area of Tell City!

Each participant will receive a sweatshirt with medals awarded in the 5k race to the top three individuals in each age group by gender along with the overall top male, female, and baby stroller finishers. A medal will be awarded to the top finishers, only, by gender in the 1 mile race.

Event details and schedule

The race will begin and end at EverBody's Fun & Fitness Center beginning at 8:30 a.m. Since parking will be prohibited on Fulton Street in front of EverBody's, parking will be available in the Catholic Church parking area, Main Street, and 7th Street. 

Since this is a fall race the weather can be unpredictable. In the past the temperature has been in the teens or, like last year, in the 50's so dress accordingly. Locker rooms and showers are available for your use prior to and after the race.

Water will be supplied on the course and at the finish line along with fruit and/or snacks. In the event of cold weather hot chocolate will be provided at the end of the race.

Packet pickup will be Wednesday, Nov. 23rd, from 8:00 a.m. to noon or the day of the race beginning at 7:00 a.m.
