Time: 5k Run @ 8:30 AM, Walk begins immediately after the 5k begins

The 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Colon Cancer Foundation was introduced ten years ago in Baltimore. In this short time, the event has grown locally and is open to participants of all ages. The theme of this year’s event is Saluting Survivors and we will have several program items recognizing the Colon Cancer Survivors who run or are present. We encourage colon cancer survivors to come out and inspire us and all of our marvelous supporters.

Entry Fees:

5k & Walk:
$30 for participant 11 & up until October 1
$35 for participants 11 & up after October 1, including on race day
FREE for participants 10 & under

The event will be held rain or shine, and entry fees are non-refundable.

Course Information:

The course will begin at the Towson Courthouse and travel through surrounding neighborhoods on paved streets before returning to the courthouse. Pets, roller skates, and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the course for the 5k – strollers must start at the back of the field. Please note that the course is NOT completely closed to traffic, so participants should be aware of cars and stay as close to the shoulder as possible.

Awards:

5k

The top overall males and females will receive awards, as well as top finishers in age groups.

Amenities:

Chip timing, and long-sleeved shirts to all participants (sizes and availability not guaranteed for those registering after September 1). Water will be available on the 5k course, and course marshals will direct racers at major turns. Post-race refreshments will also be available.

Packet Pick Up:

Packets will be available for pick up prior to race day – please check back for details as they are finalized. Packets will also be available on race day from 7 AM – 8:15 AM at the start/finish line.
