Kiski Valley Turkey Trot...

• 5K Run / Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles
• 1 Mile Walk:- Run 1 Mile

The 2016 Kiski Valley Turkey Trot 5K race is on a certified course that begins in Kunkle Park, proceeds down Pine Run Road for 2.5K and returns to finish at Kunkle Park.  The course has slight elevation and is on a beautiful country road.

The 1 Mile Fun Walk takes place on an existing gravel walking path in the park with slight elevations.

5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk are free for children under 5 years old so they do not need to be registered.  If they would like an event t-shirt, extra shirts can be purchased on-line with an adult registration.

5K Team Challenge
Run for the team cup award.  Team members must register together online as a group of at least three.  Top three times of each team will be averaged to determine the fastest team.

T-Shirts

All 5K and 1 Mile Walk registrants are GUARANTEED an event T-shirt if registered by November 2!  After November 2, t-shirts are given while supplies last.

Post Race/Walk

Refreshments/music and awards will immediately follow the finish of the 5K race and 1 Mile Fun Walk.

Parking
All parking is on site. Please enter the park from Pine Run Church Road.

Packet Pickup
All participants can pick up their race day packets on race day starting at 7:30 a.m.

Race Day Registration
Race day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at Kunkle Park and ends at 8:30 a.m.

Race Timing

Racers will be provided with a digital race timer, provided by Miles for Smiles, that attaches to their shoe.  Timing will only be provided to racers participating in the 5K Race.  The 1 Mile Fun Walk will not be timed.

Awards

5K Runners:  Top 3 male/female overall, top 3 male/female for each age category, and top 2 teams.

Age categories: under 10, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.

Prizes given for best 3 individual Thanksgiving costumes and best dressed team or group.  There will also be drawings for gift baskets and gift certificates.
