Makin' Bear Tracks, In Memory of Gerald T. Karver 5K Run, 1 Mile Kids Fun Run...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

This 5K is hosted by the Boyertown Bears Running Booster Club to provide support for the Boyertown Area School District Running Sports.  The start and Finish will be at the Boyertown Optimist Girls Softball Fields off of Dotterer Road in Gilbertsville, PA. The all-terrain course includes:  pavement, rolling grass surfaces, grassy trail, a gradual hill near the finish, and a cinder track. The location and date of the race are new this year due to the construction project at Boyertown Area Senior High. Other events include: a 1 mile walk, and a FREE kids fun run on on the cinder track.

Awards will be given to the Overall Male and Female runners as well as 1st - 3rd in each age group for both Male and Female.

New this year is the BASH Spirit Challenge. Boyertown Student Athletes are encouraged to recruit as many Clasmates, Friends, Family, Aunt's , Uncles, Grandparents, etc. to register for the 5K to Support their team or club for the BASH Spirit Challenge. For example, if a Student Athlete asks you to register and they are on the Golf Team, then you would enter "Golf Team" on your registration. The Team or Club with the most registrations will win a trophy to be displayed along along with Bragging Rights for the year!

There will also be a PAC 10 Team Challenge. The Cross Country Teams in the PAC 10 who have the most registrations will also receive a Trophy and Bragging rights for the year! 

Event details and schedule

Registration will start Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. at the Boyertown Optimist Girls Softball Fields. The 5K will start promply at 9:00 a.m. The 1 mile walk will start immediately following the start of the 5K. The kids fun run will start after the finish of the 5K. Parents or Guardians must sign a waiver the day of the event for kids participating in the Fun Run. This event is Rain or Shine
