19th Annual Cain Center Turkey Trot...

• 1 Mile Run / Walk:- Run 1 Mile

The 19th Annual Cain Center Turkey Trot is set for 8:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning.  Running the 5K or participating in the one-mile walk has become as much a family tradition for many as turkey and pumpkin pie.

Even doggies can join in ($10) and race with their own special bandana (they must be on a leash at all times).  There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each age catagory. 

Each participant will receive a t-shirt and a ticket for door prizes.  Danny's Smokehouse in Athens will smoke turkeys for several drawings.  Anyone who brings a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Henderson County Food Pantry will receive an extra ticket for each item.  Lots of door prizes!!

Early registration online at Active.com will be $25.  Students (19 & under) is $20 - no increase.  Online registration closes on November 23 at 12:00 p.m.(noon).  From noon until 9:00 p.m., register at the Cain Center.  Same day registration will be available at 7:00 a.m. for $30.  Entry fees are non-refundable.  T'shirt sizes not guaranteed after November 17.
