This race has been coordinated to help raise funds for the JROTC department at Athens High School and to promote physical activity. The purpose is to JROTC is to teach leadership, citizenship, and cooperation skills in our students.
Event details and schedule
Entry Fees: Early registration is $25 and must be postmarked by Nov. 7, 2016. Late and Race Day registration is $28
General Race Information: THIS COURSE IS USATF CERTIFIED AL13063JD. Races will begin and end at Athens High School, Athens, AL. There will be one water station mid-way through the course. The course will be flat and fast. Post-race refreshments will be provided to all runners. AHS JROTC reserves the right to cancel the race due to inclement weather. There will be no refunds.
Packet Pick-up/Late Registration: Friday Dec. 2 at AHS JROTC Dept. 3:30-6:00 pm
Race Day Registration: begins at 6:45 AM and will end promptly at 7:30 AM.
Schedule of Events: 7:45 AM announcements and Presentation of colors. Race will begin at 8 AM.
DriFit Shirts: Guaranteed to Early Registrants.
Awards Ceremony: will be held inside the JROTC Dept. Awards will be presented to first place overall male and female and first place masters(over 40) male and female. Awards will be presented 3 deep for each male and female age division.
