The Barnesville Holiday Hustle 2016 benefits the Dolly Goodpuppy Society, a 501c3 organization with a mission to promote responsible pet ownership, rehome and adopt abandoned dogs as well as offer low cost spay and neuter. We have significantly reduced the unwanted puppies in Lamar and surrounding counties through the support of donations and grants such as Lamar 365 Foundation and any number of regional organizations. There is always more to do. We appreciate any donations but the Holiday Hustle is going to be an extremely FUN way to support the dogs and light the way to the holiday season!!

Event details and schedule

The course is the same 5K course as the Barnesville Buggy Days route beginning and ending at the newly renovated Summers Field on College Drive in Barnesville. Wear your blinky lights, glow in the dark clothes and jingle bells for prizes. Awards will be given for age groups and we encourage you to walk or run, this is a totally FUN run! Race packets should be available by 5:30 pm and the one mile run/walk will begin at 6:00 pm. The 5K race will begin as soon as the one mile run is over at approximatley 7:00 p.m. The one mile route will be at the park itself, well lit. The 5K will begin and end at the park but will traverse through well lit Thomaston Street, Greenwood Streets and more. There is a holiday tour of homes that evening but the race begins as soon as the main roads can be blocked at 7. The event is rain or shine so please dress accordingly.
