Deerfield-Windsor School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Mission Change are teaming up again this winter to host their 2nd annual 1 mile, 5k and 10K run raising money to help feed the under-served children and homeless community in Albany. The idea for the run was first presented in 2014 by an FCA student who had been involved in helping the homeless during the holiday season. Southwest Georgia reports the highest percentages of food insecurity in a state that is already among the most impoverished in the nation. A staggering 25,000 children in the Southwest Georgia area alone face food insecurity on a regular basis. After seeing the effects firsthand of hunger and poverty on our community, DWS FCA decided to partner with Mission Change to help those in need by encouraging and demonstrating to their students how, together, we can personally better the world through compassion and action!

Albany Welcome Center: 112 N. Front Street  *You may register here for the 10K/5K or 1 Mile until 7:30 am*

Packet Pick-up:

Albany Welcome Center: 112 N. Front Street/Albany,GA. If you have pre-registered, you may pick up your packet from 12pm until 5pm ON FRIDAY. 

Albany Welcome Center~ If you have pre-registered, you may pick up your race packet here from 7:00am until 7:30 am ON SATURDAY/RACE DAY.

Where are the Volunteers?

Albany welcome Center OR check with any race committee member wearing an OutRun Hunger t-shirt or Santa hat. 

SafetyFor the safety of all participants, we request no roller-blades, bikes, scooters, etc. We will have an emergency response team on site for any medical needs. 

Cancellations 

Race day activities will go on rain or shine. Cancellation will only occur in the event of extreme circumstances, and there will be no refunds. Your payment will serve as a donation to MISSION CHANGE.
