Come join us in celebration of the Halloween holiday with not just one, but two professionally chip-timed, measured 5K run the Saturday and Sunday prior to Halloween, on the Cicero Community Park & the Fort Harrison running trails. Not quite ready for a 5K?  Both races offer a 2.5K option!  The Cicero course is considered flat and fun, while the Fort Harrison couse is not, um, considered flat! Costumes, while not mandatory, are encouraged! 

The Saturday race benefits the Friends of Fort Harrison State Park, while the Cicero event benefits the Cicero Friends of the Park.  Both organizations are 501 c(3) corporations dedicated to providing and advisory board, as well as for the recreational and equipment needs for these great facilities.

The 2.5K Youth Race is perfect for those kiddos wanting to try a race, without commuting to a full 5K. Awards will be given to top 3 youth (not gender specific).

Awards will be given for the top 3 in the following age groups: Male, Male Masters (40+), Female, Female Masters (40+) and Youth! Additionally, there will be additional awards for the costumes: Sariest, funniest, punniest, most creative, laziest, best group and best couple costumes (youth and adult costumes will be judged).

All athletes athletes registered by the t-shirt deadline (October 23 at 11:59PM) will receive an event t-shirt, and a custom finisher medal.  The first 50 athletes registered for both events will receive a special "Double Finisher" medal.

Race Day: We will be onsite by 8:30 am for packet pickup, as well as race day registration. To ensure we can start the race on time, please plan to be onsite at least an hour prior to race to pick up your timing chip. Please note, we may not be able to allow registrations within 30 minutes of the race starting, or check in within 15 minutes of the race start. Check-in & Registration will be at the Gazebo behind the library parking.

Parking: The park has ample parking available.  Athletes will be required to park in the ballfield gravel parking lot, approximatly 100 meters from the start & finish area.  Please do not park in the parking lot in front of the library, in front of the park office building or along the access road. Only staff, vendors or vehicles with handicap identification will be allowed to park in the parking lot behind the library.  Should the parking become full, you will be directed where to park.
