5K on the Runway @ Barkley Regional Airport...

Paducah Bank, and Fluor, along with Triangle Enterprises invite you to come and help us celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Barkley Airport with a race on a course like no other in the region, on one of the runways and taxiways at the airport!

Whether you're a runner or just want to get some exercise, this fun, family event is open to everyone, allowing rare access to places that usually only aircraft are allowed.  The coolest part is that the main runway will remain open for aircraft to take-off and land while both events go on!

Event details and schedule

Check-in will start at 7am.
The timed 5K will get underway at 8am

Bottled Water will be provided.

The Famly fun run and walk will start at 10am or soon after the last runner finishes.

Parking in the airport parking lot will be free.

The circuit course will start on Taxiway Alpha, down to the end of Runway 14 where you will run 40% of its 5,500ft total length, its 150ft with will give you plenty of room to turn around and run back to the end of the runway and back up the taxiway, where you will turn again for your second lap, and after that you'll come back to cross the finish line.

WARM-UP RUNNING CAN BE DONE IN SPECTATOR AREA.

NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO RUN THE COURSE OR ON THE AIRFIELD PRIOR TO THE RACE IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAA REGULATIONS.
