_ The 2017 Run to Fight Children’s Cancer is the largest race in Arizona dedicated solely to children’s cancer. The race will bring together an estimated 3,000 runners and walkers, hundreds of volunteers and other participants.
Now in its seventh year, Run to Fight Children’s Cancer has raised over $450,000 for the cause. Event planners hope to raise an additional $100,000 at this year’s race, surpassing a half-million dollars raised for the cause since 2011. The event is hosted by Grand Canyon University Foundation. Proceeds will support children’s cancer research and care and will benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Children’s Cancer Network, an Arizona nonprofit 501c(3) organization that provides financial, educational and psycho-social support to children and families dealing with childhood cancer.
