Description
If you are looking for a little something different, this is the race you don't want to miss.  Well worth the short drive out to the country, the 3rd Annual Tombigbee 10k takes place on a scenic, out and back course during the peak of autumn in the heart of prime wildlife territory. It starts on the bank of the Tombigbee River at Old Lock No 1 Park and follows the road leading into the park which meanders along an old oxbow lake formed by the lock.  A fast flat course with a couple of small hills near the turn around, you will finish back in the park where you left your friends to help motivate you. Long-sleeve tech race shirts and unique race awards will make this event your new favorite race.  This year's race includes the addition of a Team 10k Competition (5k each team member) and an individual 5k event.

Race Schedule:

8:30 AM ~ 10K Start 

8:35 AM ~ 5k Start

 

7:00 AM - 8:00 AM Packet Pick-up

7:00 AM - 8:00 AM Race Day registration ($45) 

 

Since the race route is along the park entrance road, the road will be closed for the event @ 8:00 AM, so runners should be in the park by that time.  Road will re-open @ 9:30 AM.
