Event details and schedule

Vehicle access into the Christian Brothers Academy will be closed starting at 9:45 AM for the duration of the race.

Scenic course through the grounds of the Academy

This event is held each year on Veterans Day Weekend to allow those that gather to participate a time to give thanks for the veterans and active duty servicemen/women in attendance. It is a time to dust off the sneakers and participate in a run or walk, both on challenging courses to remind us of the challenges faced each day by the men and women in uniform that defend our rights as Americans.

The day will begin with the presentation of our colors, the beautiful rendition of the National Anthem, sung by the Rock’nRoll Chorus, comprised of talented students from local high schools, and an introduction into the private life of Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II, presented in a speech by one of Dennis’ close friends.

The event is held each year and hosted by the Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II Memorial Fund, in tribute to 1Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II who was killed on November 19, 2005 in Bayji, Iraq. The memorial fund was created in 2006 to honor his life and memory, and to carry on his mission of taking care of his men. All monies earned through this fund are utilized to aid and assist our wounded warriors, to aid and assist their families and to promote the general well being of our enlisted men/women.

The event is memorable, those people that attend, walk away with a feeling of deep pride for their nation and with the understanding that by participating, they are aiding our more then 52,000 men/women injured in the war on terrorism.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to support all of our heroes. The application to participate is posted for your easy access. Hope to see you there!
