Proceeds Benefit: Matthew Rheaume
Matthew has been fighting cancer since he was just five months old. Despite rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and countless surgeries, as well as the loss of his right eye and his right leg, Matthew has never let the cancer keep him down for long. He was an altar server, a VBS volunteer, an usher, and belonged to the Saint Nicholas Youth Group. He became an Eagle Scout, played the baritone and tuba for OTHS Marching Panthers, and he finished his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry while on treatment. Matthew has also been an active volunteer at HIS KIDS of Highland, an organization created to support families affected by childhood cancer. In addition to paying towards some of his own medical bills, Matthew would like to use some of the funds raised at the Holiday Hilltop Run to help support Camp HIS KIDS this coming summer.
