A jolly jog (5K run/walk and 1-mile run/walk) through the streets of historic Stoughton during the annual Victorian Holiday Weekend. This family-friendly event is hosted by the Yahara River Grocery Cooperative and benefits two Stoughton-area food pantries and the Co-op. Dress up in holiday fare and enjoy beautiful Stoughton!

The course starts in the McFarland State Bank parking lot in downtown Stoughton, across the street from the Yahara River Grocery Co-op.  It travels along the Yahara River and part of a bike path before moving into one of Stoughton's historic neighborhoods. The race finishes back at the McFarland State Bank parking lot. Enjoy some great post-race snacks, beverages and door prizes (and a chance to warm up!) inside the Co-op.

Race Time:  10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4
Race fee:  $20 early registration by Nov. 23, $25 after Nov. 23

Event details and schedule

The Dickens of a Run & Walk begins at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4.  Each participant will receive a goody bag from from the Yahara River Grocery Co-op.  Race day registration (cash or check) is available from 9-9:50 a.m. inside the Stoughton Village Players Theater at 255 E. Main Street (just two doors down from the Co-op).

Parking: plenty of street parking available and there are several city lots on S. 4th & Main Streets.

Prizes:  Top male and female finisher in the Adult and 12 & Under categories. Best dressed prizes for holiday-themed costumes, plus door prizes.

Post-race:  Warm beverages, snacks and prize drawings will be inside the Yahara River Grocery Co-op.

Weather:  Race day is early December in Wisconsin...we've had really warm race days, and some chilly race days. Please check the forecast and dress in layers!
