About the birthday boy:
Miles Alexander started running cross country at Maple Creek Elementary in the 4th grade. He continued through his 8th grade year at Granite Ridge Intermediate where he competed at the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational. Miles is now a part of the Bad News Bears Running team and occasionally participates or volunteers at local races. This year, he completed his first half marathon.
Miles has one younger brother, a mom and dad, and 2 dogs. His other passions include drawing, singing, performing magic, and skateboarding. He is a native of Fresno and likes giving back to his community. Since he absolutely enjoys running and working with kids he came up with the idea to hold his first birthday race back in 2012 with the help of his running team. Miles has collected about $5,000 in donations for the Poverello House.
