NEW YEARS EVE FLASHLIGHT 5K...

• 5K Run / Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

It's a New Years Eve tradition to run the Flashight 5K in Lawrenceville, GA.  This year the race is presented by and proceeds from the race will benefit Family Promise of Gwinnett County.  The course is a double loop on paved streets starting at the Warehouse at the 1st UMC of Lawrenceville.  The finish will be in the bank parking lot across the street.

Race day registration and packet pickup will begin at 4PM

5K starts at 6:30PM

Awards following the 5K

USATF Certified: This years course is USATF Certified and can be used as Peachtree Quailifying race.  USATF #GA14091WC

Awards:  Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female and 3 deep in standard age groups beginning with 10 and under to 75 and over.

Safety First: You can come dressed in your finest New Years running clothes but be sure it is safe and tasteful.  Make sure there are no hazards to you or those around you.  The course has street lights but it will be dark in many places so you may want to bring your flashlight, headlamp or other device to light your way.

Timing and results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.coolrunning.com and www.runningintheusa.com

Shirts and goodies: Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 12/21/16.  Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirtor size and they will be given out while supplies last.  There will be plenty of refreshments.

Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2017 Black Bag Race Series.

Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
