The Arc Grand Prix Run at Watkins Glen International ~ Results ::

 - The Arc Grand Prix Run at Watkins Glen International is an annual charity race for The Arc of Schuyler. Proceeds from this event directly impact the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities residing in and near Schuyler County. The Arc Grand Prix Run is held in conjunction with Watkins Glen International Opening Weekend. The public is welcome to celebrate the opening of WGI for the season by participating in the run and other opening weekend activities.

Participants may choose to register for:


1) The Track: This 3.4 mile course is the full distance of the WGI race track and includes “the boot”. Particpants of this course are chip timed. This is a challenging course with changes in elevation. Please visit the website to see an elevation map. Participants who place as a top 3 male or top 3 female finisher in his/her age bracket will receive an award medallion. 

2) The Pit Road  – This is a 1-mile course intended for those who would prefer to walk a short distance, but still want an “up close and personal” view of a portion of the full track. The course includes a view of Victory Lane then loops back to the finish line via Pit Road. The course is mostly flat with slight inclines. There is no timing for this course.Participants will not cross the timing mat, but will end at the finish line along with participants of The Track course.

Please follow directions to Watkins Glen International, 2790 County Route 16, Watkins Glen, NY 14891. Enter at Gate 2 and follow volunteer directions/sigage to event parking.

This is an inclusive and fun race, so whether you’re a novice or expert runner, a walker, or something in between, we’re thrilled to welcome you! When you sign up for The Track (3.4 mile) course, you are eligible to win an AWESOME award medallion.

Age Groups
Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers of the 3.4 mile course in the following age brackets:
75+; 70 – 74; 65 – 69; 60 – 64; 55 – 59; 50 – 54; 45 – 49; 40 – 44; 35 – 39; 25 – 29; 20 – 24; 16 – 19; 13 – 15; 9 – 12; 5 – 8
 

Overall Winners
Prizes will be awarded to overall make and female finishers of the 3.4 Mile Run.
 

Youth Prizes
New for 2017, all youth participants will receive a shoelace charm to commemorate their achievement with The Arc Grand Prix Run! We hope this will be a fun item to collect each year for our young runners and walkers.
 

Pledge Champion
The participant who raises the most in pledges/donations takes home a medallion and an awesome prize! Pledges can be collected in-person by the participant and/or raised through the participant’s personal pledge raising site generated by Race Roster upon registration. Deadline is April 5th at midnight. 
 

Build Your Team!
You have the option of creating a team when you register online. Ask your friends, family, and co-workers to sign up too and join your team at WGI! The team with the most members wins a prize!
