Sneakers & S'mores 5K Run/Walk & Dash ~ Results

Come join us on Saturday, January 21st to raise S'MORE scholarship funds for deserving students to go to college through the Take Stock in Children scholarship & mentoring program!  

Run or walk our 5K course around the beautiful Country Club of Ocala!

You can run for the fun of it, stroll with family and friends, or bring your kids out to the Kids Dash to meet our Marshmallow Man! 

5K participants can also sign up for the first Sneakers & S'mores Stillhetto Dash!  After the run, switch into your heels! 

Event details and schedule

Schedule of Events:

• Pre-Packet Pick up will be available Friday, January 20th from 12:30-6pm at the Country Club of Ocala in the banquet room. (Team Captains can pick up all registered team members packets.)
• Race Day Check in & Registration starts at approximately 7am. 
• 5K Run/Walk starts at approx. 8:00am 
• Kids Dash starts once the 5K is complete (approximately 9am)
• Stilhetto Dash starts once the Kids Dash is complete

Event Details:

• Serious runners will appreciate the chip timing
• Medals for 1st through 3rd place in each age division
• Registration includes a LONG SLEEVE SHIRT and goody bag (guaranteed if registered by January 2nd, first come first serve after)
• Enjoy a live DJ, Hot Chocolate & S'mores station and awards ceremony
• The Kids Dash will take place near the finish line, after the run is finished! (Pre–registered kids 9 years old & under can participate
• Families can also enjoy our kids craft area & S'mores making station inside the Banquet Room

Participant Fees:(all online registrations close Thursday, January 19th)

• 5K Registration Fee 
• $25  early bird registration (by December 1st)  
• $30  pre-registration (until January 19th)
• $35  day of the event 
• $10 to add the Stilhetto Dash to your registration purchase!

• Kids Dash Registration Fee
• $20 pre-registration (by January 19th)
• $25 day of the event

• Business Challenge - the business with the most participants registered by January 19th will receive a personalized plaque to display in their office and "s'more" goodies to show our appreciation for your support!
• School Challenge - the school with the most participants registered by January 19th will receive a personalized plaque to display in their front office along with "s'more" goodies to show our appreciation for your support!
• Community Challenge - the community group with the most participants registered by January 19th will receive "s'more" goodies to show our appreciation for your support!

Proceeds from the 5K support the Take Stock in Children Scholarship Program. With the support of donors like you, over 700 Marion County Children have earned a life-changing scholarship. Take Stock in Children is a mentoring and scholarship program of the Public Education Foundation of Marion County.
