Sharon’s Ride.Run.Walk for Epilepsy is one of the nation’s largest and longest ongoing epilepsy education and awareness events, dedicated to the memory of Sharon Rosenfeld, a nurse and teacher who cared deeply about epilepsy and advocated helmet safety.
Helmets worn during head injury-prone sports can prevent many new cases of epilepsy.
5% of new cases of epilepsy and 75% of bicycle-related fatalities among children could be prevented by wearing a helmet.
The Annual Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk offers a little something for the whole family to support the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii's mission. The 50K Bike Ride course takes you through Hawaii Kai and the 5K/10K timed run goes into Diamond Head Crater and all events begin and end at Kapiolani Community College with an awards ceremony held immediately after the 5K/10K race. Enjoy the morning at the base of Diamond Head and support the 15,000 individuals living with epilepsy in Hawaii.
