2nd Annual Heroes for Hope Half Marathon, 5K, and 1 Mile Walk of Valor...

The 2nd Annual Heroes for Hope Half Marathon, 5K Run/Walk, and 1 Mile Walk of Valor will be held on Saturday, January 28th at Trinity Park, Pavilion 1, 2300 W. 7th St., Fort Worth 76107. This family fun event will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Operation Homefront, and Heroes for Hope. Operation Homefront is a highly rated nonprofit organization that's mission is to build STRONG, STABLE, and SECURE military families. We welcome all levels of participants!!  If you can run, walk, or crawl this is the race for you. Registered participants in the Half Marathon, 5K, and 1 Mile Walk of Valor will receive a long sleeve ultra cotton t-shirt. The Half Marathon will be capped at 300 participants. In our normal tradition, we will have a costume contest for best Superhero or Patriotic costume.  Please join us for this All American event. We will have Free Beer, In and Out Burgers, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and much more!!  As always free post race massages, a fun kids zone, and much more!!  Half marathon will begin at 7:30AM and all finishers will receive an awesome finisher's medal.  Our new event, the 1 Mile Walk of Valor will begin at 8:00AM. This is an opportunity for EVERYONE to come out and participate and show support for our military!! Kids 12 and under are free for the 1 Mile Walk of Valor but will not receive a t-shirt. The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 8:30AM. Camp Gladiator will lead a pre race warmup.  Cox Racing will certify all courses and provide chip timing. Early Packet Pickup will be Friday, January 27th from 12pm-7pm at Academy Sports and Outdoors, 6101 I-20 (at Bryant Irvin), Fort Worth 76132.  Race day registration and packet pickup begin at 6:30AM race day.  Awards will be given in the Half Marathon and 5K for Overall Male and Female, Overall Master's Male and Female, and traditional 5 year age groups. Come out and show OUR MILITARY how grateful we are for what they do.  COME HONOR OUR HEROES!!!
