(Rain location: Big Rapids Middle School)

Race proceeds will benefit the Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer and Wellness Fund, an endowment of the Spectrum Health Foundation Big Rapids and Reed City Hospitals. The fund provides resources and materials for use by patients and families facing cancer in our region.

Half Marathon

The 13.1 mile race begins at the Reed City Depot at 200 N. Chestnut Street in Reed City, and will end at the Bandshell. Bus transportation from Big Rapids will be provided to the start of the race in Reed City (see Race and Event Schedule). The runners will use the White Pine Trail from Reed City and will end at the Bandshell, located behind Big Rapids Middle School. The course will include four water stations and restrooms.

Participants that pre-register by April 14, 2017, are guaranteed to receive a tech shirt and goody bag. All participants will receive a race bib with microchip for timing and a finisher medal. Medals will be awarded to overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age group.

The course will close at 11 a.m.

Cost: $70 before April 14, 2017 (shirt guaranteed)
$80 after April 14, 2017 (shirt not guaranteed)

REGISTER NOW FOR THE HALF MARATHON

10K Run

The race begins at Paris Park in Paris, and will end at the Bandshell. Bus transportation from Big Rapids will be provided to the start of the race in Paris (see Race and Event Schedule). The runners will use the White Pine Trail from Paris Park and will end at the Bandshell, located behind Big Rapids Middle School. The course will include four water stations and restrooms.

The 3.1 mile race begins at Hemlock Park, continues along the Riverwalk, ventures around the neighborhood south of the hospital and ends at the Bandshell behind Big Rapids Middle School. This course does include hills and an unpaved section.

Participants that pre-register by April 14, 2017, are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt and goody bag. All participants will receive a race bib. Medals will be awarded to overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Registration is 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., 5K Run begins at 9 a.m.

5K Wellness Walk

The 3.1 mile walk begins at Hemlock Park, continues along the Riverwalk, ventures around the neighborhood south of the hospital and ends at the Bandshell behind Big Rapids Middle School. A turn around point will be established for those that do not wish to walk the full 3.1 miles. This course does include hills and an unpaved section.

Participants that pre-register by April 14, 2017, are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt and goody bag.

Kids Dash

Kids up to age 12 can run the field at Big Rapids Middle School. Participants will receive a special prize.

Friday, May 19 from 4 p.m to 8  p.m. 

Register by May 12, 2017, and your race or walk packet will be available to pick up in the Holiday Inn Conference 
Center lobby, 1005 Perry St., Big Rapids.
