Start your weekend off with a scenic 5K "Pau Hana" run along the air field of Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Participants will have the rare opportunity to run on the flight line and runway in this family friendly event. The race will start and finish between Hangar 101 and 102 and will consist of an evening race offering breath taking views of the Ko'olau Mountains and Kaneohe Bay. The race is open to the general public!
All Civilians (non DoD card holders) must register 5 days prior to the race.
Entry fees: $25 per person. A late fee of $10 per person will be added to all registrations beginning Friday, 15 September 2017. T-shirts are not guaranteed if you register during the late period. All registrations are non-refundable
Eligibility: Runners, walkers and strollers. Strollers will line up in the back of the starting group. No bikes/scooters/rollerblades/skateboards/etc will be allowed on the course.
Registering after online registration closes: Once online registration closes, participants may still register at the front desk of the Semper Fit Center on MCBH Kaneohe Bay or the General Louis H. Wilson Fitness Center on Camp Smith if they have proper base access. Registration on race day will be $35, payment with cash or check, and participants are not guaranteed a t-shirt. All registrations are non-refundable.
Event details and schedule
Packet Pick-up: Civilians (non DoD employees), Military, Dependents, DoD employees and Retirees can pick up their packet on Wednesday, 20 September at MCBH Kaneohe Bay from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. All civilians will receive a special event pass if needed to get on base on race day. Military, Dependents, DoD employees and Retirees with base access may pick up Wednesday or Thursday, 21 September at the Semper Fit Center (Bldg 3037) from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Packets may also be picked up the day of the race at the registration tent between Hangar 101 and 102.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in specific age divisions from 14 and under to 55 and above, and the top three male and female finishers overall.
