_ 2017 Grants Pass Freedom Run 5k & 5 Mile:
Race packet pick-up:
Friday, May 26, 2017 from 3:00pm-5:30pm at Competitive Athletics. Saturday May 27, 2017 from 8:30am-9:15am at the steps of the Josephine County Courthouse, 500 NW 6th St. Grants Pass, OR. We encourage you to pick up your race packets on Friday.
Start line:
Racers will start at 9:30 am right before the Boatnik Parade takes place on 6th & C St. Please congregate on the courthouse lawn before start of race. If you picked up your packets on Friday, you do not need to check in again on Saturday. "NEW"Suggested parking is at the Bethany Presbyterian Church parking lot at 741 NW 4th Street, Grants Pass OR 97526 or around 3rd - 5th streets. The shuttle bus will be taking participants back to the church parking lot at the times noted below under "Finish Line", after you have completed the event.
Finish Line:
The finish is at Reinhart Volunteer Park (All Sports Park) at the DCS shelter. Suggested parking is on or around Aberdeen, Heather Ave and Cottonwood St. Suggested participant pick up on Spruce St. At the end of the race there will be a shuttle service back to Bethany Presbyterian Church parking lot. Shuttle times will start at 10:15 & will continue to make trips until no longer needed.
Awards:
Awards to top 3 overall men, top 3 overall women & top 3 overall youth as well as ribbons three deep in age groups 14 & under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+ (overall winners are pulled out of top 3 for individual age groups). Award for top team. Team scores will be determined by adding the age group placements of the top 8 finishers on each team. Team members will be included in the individual results. Please allow for additional time to calculate awards.
Prize drawing:
Check the prize board at finish to see if you won! We will not mail prizes & prizes must be picked up by the winner only.
Race-day amenities:
Restrooms at start & finish. Professional chip timing. Water at the start, middle and finish with the addition of Gatorade & fruit at the finish.
"New" Team Package:
This consists of 10 or more racers (any age, gender or race distance ) with a discount of $2.00 off each entry fee. Must turn in all "Team" entry forms together with full payment no later than May 25, 2017 or prior to May 19, 2017 toguarantee a t-shirt. Compete against other teams for an award. Ask your boss to sponsor your team promoting good health in the work place. It is very important when signing up for a team that the name of your team is exactly typed or written the same for everyone in your group. For Team flyer please click on the link below.

You may also register in person or mail your entry form to Competitive Athletics, 105 NE 7th St., Grants Pass, OR 97526. Online or mail in registration is open thru end of day May 25, 2017. In-person registration at Competitive Athletics is open until May 26th at 5:30 pm. You may also register in the GPHS Athletic Office thru May 25th until 2:00 pm. You may also register at the race start site the day of the race until 9:15 am.
Participant race prices are on the entry form (download from the link below) for those paying with cash or check. Prices are also listed on the GetMeRegistered site (click on the link above) for those paying with credit card.
