The Pursuit of Happiness Team works to keep the memory of Spencer Phillip Kubala alive, as well as to carry out his dream of helping individuals and families who battle with substance abuse. Funds raised go to The Herren Project and The Spencer Kubala Legacy Foundation. The Pursuit of Happiness SP5K will be York's first and only evening 5K and will take place on Monday, July 3rd. The race will be the beginning of Spencer's annual benefit and birthday celebrations and will be held at Rudy Park. It will take you on a cross country grass and paved trails that will lead you through a timeline of Spencer's life as you run through the park. At the end of the race, special events and birthday celebrations for Spencer will take place if you choose to join.

This is a family friendly event. There will be a Kid’s Fun Run before the start of the 5K, and the race takes place in a park near a playground. Kid and family games will be available near the pavilions to participate in while the run takes place.
