_ 2017 Turtle Crawl Triathlon Festival:

• The Turtle Crawl Triathlon, 5K, 10K and Turtle Crawl Festival on Jekyll Island, help launch the annual sea turtle nesting season in Georgia’s Golden Isles.

• The spring event on this beautiful barrier island celebrates athleticism and ecology and is the perfect place for a fun, family “race cation”!

• Families with children of all ages are invited to participate in the educational NestFest activities that will take place near the Turtle Crawl finish line and then to join Georgia Sea Turtle Center staff on the beach for the release of a rehabilitated sea turtle.

Sprint Tri:

600m ocean swim, 14.5 mile loop around the island and a 5k out and back run.

A flat and fast loop that starts on Beachview Drive and ends at Great Dunes Park. This is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier!

Located between Savannah and Jacksonville, Jekyll Island is convenient to Interstate-95.
To get to the island on I-95, take Exit 29 and follow the signs east on U.S. 17 for approximately 6 miles. Turn right onto the Downing Musgrove Causeway (Ga-520).
Be sure to stop at the Jekyll Island Guest Information Center, located about 4 miles down the Causeway, on the left.
Travel through the Guest Information Center and Plaza onto Jekyll after paying your Parking Fee, then begin your escape to Jekyll Island!
