Pi day is back,and what better way to celebrate than with a

Pi K?

Pi day is March 14 (Pi=3.14, pretty neat huh:-)).  We're celebrating at Brookrun Park in Dunwoody with a Pi K (about 1.95 miles).  The race starts at 6:30 pm and we'll have shirts & awards for the top 3 overall M/F, as well as the top 3 masters M/F, overall grand master, and sr. grand master.  Keeping with the theme of the day, we'll be ordering plenty of Pizza Pi's for everyone to enjoy when they're finished.

Event Beneficiary:

We'll be donating a portion of the proceeds to the local schools S.T.E.M. programs or science clubs, so be sure to create a team for your school/club, or join one that's already created.

Groups & Teams:

Do you have a science club?  Are you in charge of the STEM program at your local school?  Is your office or neighborhood looking to get involved in something together?  Put together a team and you can score a donation back to your group (donations only go to school or STEM groups everyone else just earns glory).

Course & Timing:

We're in North Georgia, and there's not much that anyone can call flat & fast.  So…It's not pancake flat, but it's pretty darn close.  The course is totally inside Brook Run Park, and we're using the awesome paved trail.  We'll be chip timing the entire thing with scrolling results...what else could we do for a science themed event!

Awards & Goodies:

We have awards for the top 3 overall M/F, Top 3 overall masters M/F, Awesome Soft Performance cotton shirts guaranteed to all participants registered by 3/6, afterwards they're available while supplies last. 

Finish Line Pizza Party:

We'll be ordering pizza's for all the runners to enjoy, as well as some other standard finish line refreshments.

Five Star Turkey Trot:

All participants will automatically qualify for FREE entry into the Five Star Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. see event website for details.

Event Courtesy & Refund Policy

Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.

 

All registrations are final...there are no refunds, transfers, or deferements.
