Color Run for a Cause 5K Run

 

This is a family event. Everyone is invited.  Walk, Run, Skip,Crawl, This is fun for all.

 

Purpose for the Run:

 

This event is unique because you can pick which cause you support. Below will explain each organization and what it supports.

Soldiers' Angels:

Soldiers' Angels provides aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, their families, and a growing veteran population. Soldiers' Angels has many wonderful programs to support our military families, deployed service members, wounded service members and veterans. Our programs are broken into categories based on the population they serve. Soldiers' Angels offers programs for wounded, deployed, families, and others. Most of our programs could not be possible without the support of the wonderful Angels who dedicate their time, money, and talents, to the organization. The Carl "CJ" Richard Memorial Organization:

The Carl "CJ" Richard Memorial Organization is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations go towards their scholarship and suicide prevention and awareness events and education. Mission: To educate people about suicide, suicide awareness, and suicide prevention are their primary goals. Scholarship: This organization offers an annual scholarship to high school seniors. Autism Society of Acadiana:

The mission of Autism Society Acadiana is to support families of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and to help enable persons within our community to live with, educate, and care for individuals with an autism spectrum disorder. For more information please visit:

Down Syndrome Association of Acadiana:

DSAA is a non-profit education and parent support group for families and professions serving those families in the Acadiana area consisting of seven parishes within Region IV.  DSAA is governed by a Board of Directors that is comprised of parents, siblings, family, and professionals who deeply care for individuals with Down syndrome.  Our purpose is to promote the interests of persons with Down syndrome and their families through advocacy, public awareness and information covering all aspects of Down syndrome.  We provide families with a support network, sharing experiences from the pre-birth of a child throughout the states of education and adult living within the community. Event details and schedule

Individual: $30 per person or Team: (4 or more): $25 per person

  • Prices includes: Entry into the 5k color run, custom T-shirt & color packet for after party.

  • All registration forms received after the 2/26/17 can still register w/ a $5.00 late fee & we cannot guarantee T-shirt

  • Kids 10 & under free but they don’t receive a packet (please mark kids on form next to your name).

 

Race check in time is 7:00am-7:30am. Pre-run warm up will begin @ 7:30. Race starts at 8am. Stay for Post Event after party.
