Description

 - The color crazed "Color Me Cameron" 5th Annual 5K Color Run/Walk is hosted by The Cameron Fitzwater Memorial Scholarship Foundation and Cameron's friends.  For us it's personal...We take color to a whole new level with OVER 5,000 POUNDS of COLOR and 10 COLOR STATIONS!

It's not about how fast you can go, it's about how much fun you can have!  The "Color Me Cameron" is a Celebration of Life withh a whirlwind of color that will blow you away!

As participants make their way through downtown Pulaski, located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains onto the New River Trail Dora Extension they will be splashed with color from head to toe.  The fun continues after all the runners/walkers complete the route with an Unforgettable After Party including music, dancing, door prizes and an amazing color explosion!  Bring your family and friends and color the day away!

All participant registration fees go directly to the scholarships.  The Cameron Fitzwater Memorial Scholarship Foundation has 0 administration costs and raises all the money needed to pay for the "Color Me Cameron" supplies prior to the event.

The Cameron Fitzwater Memorial Scholarship Foundation was created to celebrate the life of Cameron Taylor Fitzwater by allowing his life and aspirations to live on by helping others pursue their dreams of higher education as he had planned to do in the Fall of 2012.  It is about turning tradgedy into triumph while developing community spirit and giving.

Four $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually in Cameron's memory to Pulaski County High School graduating seniors who best meet the scholarship criteria.

Cameron, touched many lives in his short time here on earth and continues to touch lives today through the good works he left behind and the legacy he left in the hearts of all who knew him.  He is remembered for his adventurous spirit, his outgoing personality, his sense of humor, his love of life, his huge bear hugs, and his contagious smile.  He inspired others to love God, appreciate nature, live big, dream big, embrace their fears, and to never give up.  Cameron wrote, "Kindle the fire within yourself.  Use it's light to stay the path.  no matter how hard it gets stay ever cheerful."  This is how Cameron lived his life every day.
