• 5K Run / Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

This is a fast flat course through the village of East Rochester. It is very well marked with 2 water stops and tons of support from the residents of the village. This race is a run/walk with funds going to an individual suffering from brain cancer.

Tonya Cyrkin will be this year's recipient. Tonya is the wife of Josh and mother of Alex and 9th grader Haylie. Diagnosed in 2012 with a glioblastoma, Tonya's brain cancer has taken a different path, that being to attack her spine. Doctors had been at a loss as to how to proceed in treating her cancer as chemo and radiation had not been successful. The tumor on her spine had continue to grow and so it was decided that the best approach would be to remove part of her spine, which was done on October 6, 2016. Tonya is working with OT and PT specialists and because of her determination to become more independent and have a somewhat normal life as a family, she is known as a "rock star". Tonya will never walk again and at present is confined to a hospital bed hoping and praying that her next MRI will give her some positive news.
