Requirements: You must have finished a 10K in 65 minutes or less in the past three years and plan to run under 65 minutes in the 2017 Monument Avenue 10K on April 1, 2017. This program is designed to improve your conditioning, speed, and technical aspects of running. This program was developed by Greg McMillan, author of the book You Only Faster and coach of Olympic and national age-group runners. The program has three key aspects:
1. Saturday runs ranging from 6 to 8.5 miles with a specific training goal.
2. Weekly track sessions at Sports Backers from 6-7 pm, with each track session.
3. Saturday runs with breakfast items and coffee included.
Participants will be grouped by race goal time, with two coaches to guide you through the 10-week program. Free entry in the Huguenot 3 Miler and Sweetheart 8K (codes to be sent out in January).
