The thriving and talented 17-year-old, Emilio Perez, was an honor student, athlete, and friend to many. The essence of Emilio was his perpetual whistle and smile. To know him was to love him. His creative side loved listening to music, playing music, baking, writing, and making movies. He was wise beyond his years with a passion for life. With his senior year of high school just five months away, he had his sights on college and making his dreams a reality.
On the evening of March 8th 2014, one day after his 17th birthday, Emilio ran out of gas. He proceeded to pull over onto the shoulder, locked up his truck, put the emergency flashers on and began walking for gas. He was then struck and killed by a hit-and-run motorist. A beautiful young man’s precious life was lost, much too soon.
To all of us that loved him, we vow to honor Emilio’s life and keep his memory alive.
As Emilio's family and friends, we are asking for your support so our goals can be accomplished. Please consider a sponsorship, cash, or in-kind donation for this annual event. All proceeds go to the Emilio Perez Scholarship Fund offered to Willowbrook High School seniors annually as well as other charities close to our hearts.
Thank you in advance for your support.
