Break out of those winter blues and come see spring begin to bloom in Bloomington. The Hoosier Half is partnering with IU Dance Marathon and For the Kids 2017 again this year to raise funds for the Riley Kid's!!

On April 8th 2017 the Greene & Schultz - Hoosier Half Marathon and "For the Kid's" FTK 5K will celebrate its 12th year.

Race headquarters is the Indiana University DeVault Alumni Center located at 1000 East 17th Street in Bloomington, Indiana. The course is a beautiful and challenging 13.1 Miles through the Indiana University Campus as well as the City of Bloomington's Downtown and neighborhoods,

After you cross the finish line, collect your medal and head to the Master Rental Rest and Recovery Area to enjoy a variety of nutritional recovery foods in the KROGER food tent, then hook up with your friends and head over to the Quaff ON beer garden to enjoy your complimentary local craft beer, while sharing with each other how you Conquered the hills! all while you enjoy our live musical entertainment. There is a lot to see and do in Bloomington, so plan to stay overnight and enjoy the restaurant, craft beer, and nightlife. We hope you will join us!

Late registration is available Friday, April 7th 2017 between 4:00pm - 8:00pm at packet pickup and Race Day between 6:30am - 7:30am.

EARLY packet pickup is 4:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday, April 7th 2017 at the DeVault Alumni Center located at 1000 East 17th Street. Parking is available for packet pickup in the IU Athletics BLUE lot across the street. PARKING MAP Link

Race Day packet pickup is 6:30am - 7:30am on Saturday, April 8th 2017 at the DeVault Alumni Center located at 1000 East 17th Street. Parking on race day is in the IU Athletics PURPLE lot north of Memorial Stadium. Enter gates 10 or 11 from the SR45/46 bypass. PARKING MAP Link Please have a photo ID available.

Event Shirt Information
ALL pre-registered participants will receive an event tee at packet pick-up. The 5k and the half marathon tees are different styles, both are poly/cotton blend, and both are unisex sizing. All pre-registration tee shirt sizes are guaranteed. Event tee and specific sizes are not guaranteed at Late Registration (after 4/3).

2017 Hoosier Half Marathon and 5K Run - Rewards and AwardsAll Hoosier Half Marathon and FTK 5K finishers will receive a custom made event medal.

The first place male and female in the "For the Kids" FTK 5K Run will receive a $100 Gift Certificate to Athletic Annex and a certificate for free 5K race entry in 2018. The second and third place male and female finishers in the 5K Run will receive a $50 Gift Certificate to Athletic Annex and a certificate for free 5K race entry in 2018. The male and female winner of each Age Group will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to Athletic Annex and a certificate for free 5K race entry in 2018. Age Groups are Male & Female: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. ALL Awards must be picked up at the event.

The overall male and female finishers in the Hoosier Half Marathon will receive cash prizes of $500 as well as a $250 Gift Certificate to Athletic Annex and a certificate for free Hoosier Half race entry in 2018. The second and third place male and female finishers in the Hoosier Half Marathon will receive a $100 Gift Certificate to Athletic Annex and a certificate for free Hoosier Half race entry in 2018.The male and female winner of each Age Group will receive a $50 Gift Certificate to Athletic Annex and a certificate for free Hoosier Half race entry in 2018. Age Groups are Male & Female: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. ALL Awards must be picked up at the event.

TIME LIMIT
The 2017 Hoosier Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk has a time limit of 3.5 hours (16 minute per mile pace). The 16 minute per mile time limit begins when the last participant crosses the start line and will be enforced! The course closes on a rolling schedule. This means that half marathon runners must be able to sustain a pace of 16 minutes per mile in order to finish ahead of the course closure. If participants choose to continue running after the course closes, they do so at their own risk and will be required to move off the streets. Please be aware that our permit dictates we reopen street closures to vehicular traffic at specific times. No times are recorded after 11:30am. Finisher medals will be awarded only to those finishing within the specified time limit. The Race Director reserves the right to remove any participant from the course.
