Help the Children’s Task Force Prevent Child Abuse by supporting programming that prevents child abuse from happening in the first place, such as Parent educa-tion, home visitation, safe sleep and shaken baby prevention.

Additionally, the FCCTF provides tangible goods such as clothing, cribs, high chairs, swings, baby monitors and other usable items for their children. We also provide formula, baby food, diapers, wipes etc. to those who may be facing displacement.

The FCCTF is part of the Maine Families infrastructure that ensures all babies born in Franklin County have the best start possible. With developmental information, educational support, parenting support and resources to ensure all children have a safe sleep environment. The FCCTF also provides Shaken Baby prevention educa-tion through its distribution of the Period of Purple Crying through all local area birthing hospitals.
