Help Save our Bees. Earth Day Saturday, April 22, 2017
Run or walk in the only National Park along the great Mississippi River. Discover one of the most natural, scenic, and native habitats in Minneapolis.
Join the Run/Walk to save our bees and the habitat that supports them by creating and sustaining pollinator's pathways!
Feel the Buzz!
The Great River Coalition, a nonprofit 501C3 environmental membership organization, is the initiator of this event. Our partners include the National Park Service and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. The Minneapolis Parks is a nationally recognized leader and voted the number one Parks System in the United States!
Our goal is to create a pollinator's pathway beginning in Minneapolis, with plans to extend the pathway from Itasca to the Gulf of Mexico.
The National Bee Run/Walk and River Clean-Up will draw attention to the plight of our pollinator friends:
* Bring people and attention to one of our greatest assets, the Mississippi River, in the only National Park on the Mississippi River
*The opportunity to enjoy our Mississippi Riverfront environment
*View the St. Anthony Falls from the locks facility after the Run/Walk/River Cleanup
All participants will recieve a long sleeve tech shirt, Honey packets, Bee headbands, Door Prizes, Bee costumes, Bee colors, and Bee Teams are encouraged and rewarded! Bee there or Bee square!
