Description

Ever heard of Murder Mystery Dinner?

Well, we are taking it up a notch! We are taking the mystery, out to the the streets so you can have a real life experience for solving a case.

The Race:

Murder Mystery Race is a scavenger hunt where you will use your detective skills to unravel the dramatic chain of events in order solve the mystery of the murder! Gather proof and uncover the evidences from the eye witnesses to catch the culprit. Will you be stunned when the truth emerges? Or will you fail and the truth of the murder will be lost forever? In this race, only the dead are above suspicion…

The Plan:

  • Meet up with your team at the given time and location
  • Solve a murder mystery in the chosen city within the 3-4 mile radius of the crime scene teams will be given clues to solve their assigned unsolved mystery
  • There are check-in places scattered throughout the premises where the team will be required to take pictures and/or solve riddles to gain a clue.
  • Images and answered riddles will be needed to finish the race.
  • Need help solving a clue? You may open an envelope for the answer and lose 50 points or do a DARE and get the answer for FREE without a penalty charge.

Sample Riddles

  1. For a lesser charge, the criminal gave the detective the location of his safe and a note. The note read “Oval Ximeno, Violet Oval3, Oval Violet”. What is the 3 digit combination to the lock?
  2. A serial Killer in a very small town has a thing with names. He murdered 3 Tabathas, 3 Tamaras, 2 Tanyas, and 2 Talithas but never a Tess or a Teri. Why is that?

Sample Dares

  • “Love at first sight” walk down the aisle with a complete stranger
  • Dance to “Gangnam Style” in public
  • Hug a stranger and tell them “Everything is going to be alright”.
  • Wear a “FREE HUGS” sign in a public area for 5 minutes

Event details and schedule

Get ready for the best Mystery challenge you ever took. We will begin check-in at 12:00 pm and will be taking registration up to the start of the race. You should bring a cell phone and a digital camera to show your pictures at the end of the race. A smartphone is ideal. Maps are also handy; I also recommend a pen or pencil to take notes and water to drink. Dress comfortably.

We begin by assigning you to an unsolved mystery and hand out a set of clues. You can use your smart phones and smart friends as much as you want for help on clues. For the checkpoints that mention a riddle, you must check in with the Murder Mystery official, answer the riddle, and get your picture taken before moving on. On all checkpoints and dares, you must get a picture with both team members to show you were both there. This is a team race. You must be together throughout the race. You may walk, run or use public transportation to get to your destination. We expect the winners will finish the race in about 2 hours and most of you will finish under 4 hours.
