• Half Marathon Run:- Run 13.1 Miles

Join the School of Nursing and Health Sciences on April 8, 2017 for a ½ marathon and 5K run to assist in the future education of nurses through scholarships at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Ga.  The Scholarship Fund was developed in honor of graduate Lisa Purvis Allison to assist aspiring students to fulfill their dream of becoming a registered nurse at ABAC.  The endowed scholarship is awarded twice a year to a nursing student meeting stated criteria to assist with final semester expenses.

Event details and schedule

The 6th Annual Run for the Nurses event will be held on April 8, 2017 in Tifton, Georgia.  Our 1/2 marathon and 5K runs begin at 7:30 am on the beautiful front campus of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.  The 5K route is an out and back course close to campus.  The 1/2 marathon loops through campus and takes runners on a figure eight route complete with rolling hills, cow pastures, and pine trees. 

Half marathon and 5K trophies are awarded to the Overall and Master’s Overall male/female finishers. Place medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in 5 year age groups for the half marathon and 5K.  Custom finishers medal for all ½ marathoners.  Trophies will also be awarded to the 1^st male and female ABAC Alumni finishers in both races.   

All pre-registered participants will receive a technical tee-shirt and imprinted race bag.  Race day registered participants will receive a tee-shirt and imprinted race bag while supplies last.
