JOIN US for the 1st Annual Barktown Dog Rescue's Race for their Lives 5K on Saturday, April 15, 2017 @ 8:00am.  

Barktown Dog Rescue & Sanctuary is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization. We envision a compasssionate world where all dogs reside in responsible, loving homes.  Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchippedand will receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment that is needed.  The dogs are then placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement into their permanent home.  Our group remains comitted to the welfare of the dogs beyond the adoption process.

Event details and schedule

COURSE:

The course will start at on the track at Fowler Park and will continue onto the beautiful Big Creek Greenway.

RACE START TIME:

5K - 8:00am

COST:

$25.00 until April 14th

$30.00 Race Day

RACE DAY REGISTRATION:

Race day registration will take place on the Event Field/Track at Fowler Park beginning at 7:00am. Once you enter the park, make a right into the first parking lot and keep driving until you see the Event Field/Track on your right.

PACKET PICK-UP:

There will be on-site packet pick-up on the Event Field/Track beginning at 6:00am.

TSHIRTS:

All pre-registered participants are guarenteed a race t-shirt if registered by April 3rd.

AWARDS: 

Overall Male/Female, Age Groups: 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and Up.

Well behaved dogs that are people and dog friendly are welcome to join you for this 5K!  We will have waterbowls, Opps bags and treats from some of our sponsors for your pooch.
