We, at Midmark, along with our Feel the H.e.a.t. committee and the Menke family are teaming up to raise awareness for a cause near and dear to our hearts. On August 22, 2015, our teammate, Bob Menke, passed away from heart disease at the age of 38. With no family history and a healthy lifestyle, his condition went undiagnosed. Offered at nearly every hospital, a vascular screening could’ve saved Bob’s life. Bob’s family, Feel the H.e.a.t. and Midmark want to ensure that it does not happen to anyone else’s family or friend.

On October 21, 2017, Sweetest Day, we invite the public to join us on a 4 mile run, jog or walk, from Midmark to the Winery at Versailles. Our mission is to raise awareness and funds to help make these tests more accessible in hopes to save lives and to honor our dear friend, Bob.

Onsite prior to the race, Dr. Markus from Wayne Healthcare, will discuss heart health and the hospital will have information available regarding vascular screening and its importance. . 

All proceeds will go to tesing for heart disease for indiviuals who can't afford it.
