FSI for Autism 5k ~ Results

• 5k Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

 - Everett Massachusetts – FSI presents its 3rd annual 5k road race, taking place at The Everett Recreation Center, 47 Elm Street. Everett, Ma. 02149 on Sunday April 23^rd 2017.

 In partnership with the Mayor and the City of Everett, the weekend long event will start with a pre-registration pasta party for runners and families on Saturday night April 22nd from 5-8pm at theEdward G. Connolly Center on Chelsea St. Everett, Ma. Donation for the pasta party is $5.00 per person or $20.00 for families (up to 5). Registered runners eat free.

 Sunday morning registration begins at 8:00am at the Everett Recreation Center followed by a balloon release before the start of the event.

 FSI is proud to have Hometown former Cruiser weight Champion Richie “The Mountain” LaMontagne at the starting line to stretch and warm up the runners.

 The event will continue at the finish line with Music, food and fun at the Connolly center. There will be raffles, 50/50, information table for families, live music ,free photo booth, medals and activities .

 Runners / Walkers can also pre-register for the event.

Cost is $30.00 for race which includes a free t-shirt and goodie bag.

 “This is a great event that raises thousands of dollars that go directly to families impacted by Autism and also raises community awareness and inclusion for all involved. “ says, founder and director Shawn Coyle who is also a parent of achild with Autism. “Our mission is to not only raise money and awareness but also raise our children in to better adults through compassion and contribution

10:15 AM- 10:30 AM- Opening Remarks and Balloon Release- Glendale Park- Located on Ferry St. Directly across from Everett Recreation Center

10:30AM-10:40AM- Warm up  with  Richie “The Mountain” LaMontagne- Pre-race stretch with Everett’s  Pro Boxer / Former Cruiser Weight Champion

10:50 AM-National Anthem – On Trumpet by High School Senior Zoe Murphy

11:00 AM- The Race Begins !!

11:30AM- 3:30PM – Post Race Reception- – Raffle Baskets-  50/50- Information Table – Face Painting- Race souvenirs for sale

Post Race BBQ 11:30AM-2:30PM- Burgers/ hot dogs and refreshments

Award Ceremony- 12:00PM-1:00PM – Runner’s categories- medals  given out
