Third Annual HCA Toga Trot 5K...

The HCA Toga Trot 5K, hosted by Heritage Christian Academy, is an event of "Olympic" proportions.  Racers will be donning their best togas and Olympic wear, and hitting the pavement for a morning full of fun!  HCA is the only school of its kind in Winter Haven, FL.  We provide a classical education for students, and our vigorous curriculum and small class sizes offer an experience that is both challenging and individualized for each student.  Proceeds from the Toga Trot will go toward helping HCA continue to serve families of Winter Haven and the surrounding area by providing funds for school needs, scholarships for deserving students, and more.

Event details and schedule

Thank you so much for being part of the Heritage Christian Academy event!  We are excited about hosting our third annual 5K.  Here's some information to get you ready for the big day.

Packet Info: You may pick up your race packet the Friday before (April 21^st) from Noon-6:00 at the Heritage Christian Academy school.  It's the education building located right behind the First Church of the Nazarene located at 244 Ave. D S.W. Winter Haven 33880. Or you can pick it up the morning of the race at 7:00-7:45am. Your packet will include a race shirt in your selected size and racing bib.

Course Info: The 5K race begins promptly at 8:00am and will start at Central Ave. right in front of Richard's Coffee. The 1 Mile Family Fun Run will start at 8:10am.

Arrival Info: Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the race begins.

Parking Info: There is free parking downtown along Central Park or use the free parking garage located at 220 Ave. A N.W.

What to Bring: You are more than welcome to bring your own bottle of water, but water will be provided at a water station at the half way point of the race route. Children under age 3 are welcome to ride in a stroller free of charge for the 1 Mile Family Fun Run. No pets please. 

What to Wear: Wear appropriate running attire and shoes.  You are not required to wear a toga in the race, but you are more than welcome to wear your toga.  Prizes awarded!
