The Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin' 5K Race kicks off the Annual Worm Gruntin' Festival which is held the second Saturday in April each year.  The festival features local arts and crafts, music, food and the famous worm-gruntin' contest.   The festival runs from 9 am until 9 pm and ends with the Worm Grunter's Ball where you can sit and relax in a lawn chair and enjoy performances by local musicians.  The festival has gained national attention in the New York Times and U-Tube featuring the art of worm'gruntin.
