Race day registration and packet pickup: Begins at 8AM
In recognition of Gehrig, who was initiated into Phi Delta Theta at Columbia University, the fundraising efforts of Fraternity members and the Iron Phi program is a way to achieve personal athletic goals while helping The ALS Association and Phi Delta Theta Foundation achieve their collective goal of raising awareness and monies for ALS research. Proceeds from the “Iron Phi-ve” 5k will help fund research efforts for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The run is hosted by the undergraduate and alumni chapters of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity across Georgia.
Race day registration and packet pickup: Begins at 8AM
5K: Starts at 9AM
Course: The course will begin at Phi Delta Theta on the Mercer University Campus.
Awards: Awards will be given to overall male/female, overall masters male/female and top 3 finishers in standard age groups from 10 and under to 75 and over.
Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services and results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.runningintheusa.com and www.coolrunning.com.
Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2017 Black Bag Race Series and Clover Glove Race Series.
Shirts and Goodies: Shirts will be guaranteed to those who register by 3/14/17. Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. Refreshments provided
Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
