THIS EVENT BENEFITS THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY'S RELAY FOR LIFE
Presented by Alfa Life
Cancer touches new lives every day. It can break hearts, challenge one’s endurance, crush dreams and ravage bodies. But, it also can strengthen faith, unite families, refocus energies and change perspectives. The newly renamed Combat Cancer Jubilee Run event is a time to celebrate victories over this dreaded disease and honor those who valiantly ran the race. Through the 8K Run, 2-Mile Run, 1-Mile Walk, Survivor’s Tent, Wellness Expo, Kids Area and other activities, the event increases awareness about the impact of cancer while raising money for research and prevention with the American Cancer Society.
At its core, this event is a way for us to CELEBRATE LIFE – those who were victorious in their battles, and those whose lives ended too soon. In addition to the two running events, we have a 1 Mile walk. From walking with you to walking for others, the 1-Mile Honor/Memory Walk demonstrates we’re all united in this fight to find a cure. BONUS: 8K and 2- Mile run participants are welcome to join the 1-Mile Honor/Memory Walk at no additional cost, and all survivors in attendance will be recognized.
Join our event as an individual, or gather friends & family and create a team! Fundraising is available for you or your team at Active.com. We will honor the Fastest Cancer Survivor (Male and Female), Longest Cancer Survivor (Male and Female), Top Individual Fundraiser, the Top Fundraising Team, the Fastest Team and the Spirit Award for the Largest Team at the awards ceremony post-race – among other race-specific awards! To be eligible for the Top Fundraising Team and Fastest Team, you must have a minimum of 5 team members.
Online registration ends at noon on Thursday, May 4th.
Our website, JubileeRun.org, has undergone an awesome make-over. Be sure to check it out! Race information, including a Jubilee Run history, will be available on the site; however, if you don’t see the information you need, email [email protected] or call one of the numbers listed on the site. We look forward to seeing you Saturday, May 6th!
