6:30am - 7:45am Arrival, race day registration, and race packet pick up.

Arrival and Parking – We have adjusted the course this year which will allow for parking in our main lot accessed from 8th St. and Turner Ave.  Any overflow will have to park along the residential streets around the school.

Following arrival please make your way to the Turner Main Gym located at the southwest corner of the building.  Registration will be inside of the gym.  Participants may still register for the race at the regular price of $30.00.  Preregistered participants may pick up their race packets during this time also.

                7:45am The Dragon Dash 100.

This is a 1 block fun run for our little ones.  We start at the corner of 9th St. and Massachusetts Ave., and sprint back to the TMS gym.  We even get our very own Turner Dragon to race the little ones and hang out for some great photos afterwards.  Any child kindergarten and younger is welcome to participate in this fun run.  Though the Dragon Dash participants do not receive a free shirt, ribbons are passed out as they cross the finish line.

                8:00am Start of Race.

The Annual Bob Turner Classic 5K is held each year on the first Saturday in May.  This year we are pleased to annouce a new course.  This year's course is a "lollipop" beginning on Massachusetts Ave. in front of the TMS Main Gym.  The course will head east down Massachusetts Ave. to 7th St. where it will turn north until it gets to Bruce Dr.  The course then turns back west to 10th St. before heading north around Robert's Lake to Bunyan Ave.  From here the course will travel east along Bunyan Ave. to 4th St.  The course turns north on 4th St. heading towards CR 10e where the turnaround is located.  From the turnaround participants will head south on 4th St. to Massachusetts Ave., and finally turn east back to the school.  The finish line is in front of the TMS Main Gym.  There are some very mild elevation changes throughout the course but for the most part the course is completely flat.

9:15am End of race and awards presentation.

Participants generally complete the race in less than 90 minutes.  As this is a fun fundraising event we hold off on awards presentations until the course marshals signal that the final participants are nearing the finish.  Typically, we start presenting awards about 9:15am.  We have usually completed all presentations by 10:00am.

Typically, we are fortunate enough to have mostly fair weather, but as this is Colorado, come prepared for anything.  The mornings are usually cool, and by the end of the race we may already be well on our way to 90 degrees or more.  There is a water station located at the starting line, a second water station around the turnaround point near 4th St. and CR 10e, and the finish line and awards area.  We usually have fresh oranges and bananas as well.
