About This Event
Take the 18th annual Mt. Baldhead Challenge and experience what Michigan Runner magazine calls one of Michigan's "25 most interesting races." Experience a unique and exciting race through Saugatuck and Douglas, two of West Michigan's historic and beautiful lakeside communities.
Not up to the 15k Challenge? Choose the 5K that winds through Douglas and along the Kalamazoo River.
Mt. Baldhead Challenge - 15K (9.3 miles)
COURSE: The 15K course starts and ends at Beery Field in Douglas. The 15K starts in Douglas out to Lakeshore Drive for a healthy stretch, then via Campbell to Park Street heading west to Park Street. Then participants run through winding trails, ascending 302 stairs, running to Oval Beach, Lakeshore Drive, and re-turning to Douglas. It is not a closed course and participants must finish by 11:30 am. Maps available on the website mtbaldheadchallenge.com. Aid stations will be located throughout the course.
5K (3.1 miles)
COURSE: Not up to a 15K? Run or walk the 5K. The course starts and ends at Beery Field in Douglas. There is a water/aid station on the course. Maps available on the website mtbaldheadchallenge.com
Little Feet, Big Feat 1K - Free
A free “Little Feet, Big Feat” children’s run will take place during early packet pickup Friday, September 08th, near Beery Field at 6 PM.
