The 5k Turkey Trot 

is the end of the season celebration 5k race for Girls on the Run, Heart & Sole, and STRIDE participants. Come join over 100 boys and girls, grades 3rd-8th, as they celebrate their accomplishments of the season! The course starts and ends at Family friendly Planet Fun! Public runners are welcome as this race provides scholarships to children who need assistance to participate in the Girls on the Run and STRIDE programs. Professional race production by the Wilmington Family YMCA and timing by Brunswick Timing ensures a fun, safe, and accurate 5k race experience!

Planet Fun provides fun for the whole family - before & after the 5K race! $5 unlimited play at Planet Fun from 6am-1pm and $5 breakfast buffet at Starz Grille from 7am-10am! Tickets for these additional activities can be purchased during your race registration!

Race starts at 8am / Girls on the Run & STRIDE participants arrive at 7am.

Packet Pickup: At Planet Fun Friday, Nov 17th 4pm-6pm OR Race Day, Saturday, Nov 18th 6:30am-7:30am

Race Benefits: Provides scholarships to children who need assistance to participate in the Girls on the Run and STRIDE programs in Brunswick & Columbus Counties

Race shirts guaranteed to the first 200 registrants who attend packet pickup! 

This event is rain or shine! In the event of inclement weather, race directors will be in contact with race participants via email.

Coastal Carolina Run Series 

The Rotary Clubs of Brunswick County is the 8th race in the year-long Old North State Wealth Management Coastal Carolina Run Series! This yearlong series consists of 10 races across Coastal Carolina including a family-friendly beach obstacle course, 10k road runs, 1 mile fun runs, the traditional 5K distance and a trail runs. Participation is the key! The more races you run, the more the muscles burn, the faster the legs turn, the more points you earn!
